A Birthday Bash

Last night we hosted a birthday party for one of Hannah's friends, Grace. There were eight girls here to celebrate. Grace's mom brought the makings for homemade personal pizzas, including some delicious dough to roll their own crusts and tons of various toppings. This is a great party idea for teenagers! We had an ice cream sundae bar for dessert.

I made a quick paper banner to decorate the den, and a little centerpiece for the kitchen table. I absolutely love to set the stage for a party!

The girls had a great time making (and eating!) dinner. The personal pizzas were a lot of fun, and Buzzard and I decided to start this as a new family tradition.

After dinner, Grace opened her presents, then the girls all went to soak in the hottub. We lucked out with the weather. It was a warm and gorgeous evening, so the girls had a great time being outside. After warm showers and jammies, they all settled in to watch old movies. Three of them stayed up all night and were still chatting in the living room when I got up this morning. There were a few tired faces as the girls headed out for Sunday School this morning! :)

It was wonderful having a house full of young ladies. These girls are a family of friends, and when they are together they spread a contagious joy that Buzzard and I always feel honored to catch. Happy Birthday wishes to Grace and her twin brother Amos! :)
Also, a special birthday shout to Nana. HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANA! We hope you are having a great time on your vacation and we miss you!
