And the Week Is Off To a Very Good Start

Max and Hayden have some friends. Very special, really pretty friends. What do you do when you find out on Monday morning that a very special, really pretty friend can come over for a visit? First, you make a warm fuzzy to surprise her.
Then, you plan a trip to the nature preserve to enjoy a gorgeous spring day. While the boys and their friends played tag, Hannah and I scoped out the playground equipment with Emma. She is just now getting big enough and strong enough to explore a playground. She isn’t terribly brave just yet, but the learning seems to come quickly when it comes to slides and stairs and fun bridges.

We played hide and seek in the slide tubes.

And even slid down one for the very first time.

We crawled in brand new white pants on the bridge.

And we worked really, really hard to climb a slippery slope.
Look at this interesting baby swing. It reminds me of a roller coaster seat!

Hannah took some pretty pictures of the blooming redbud trees.

Then we came home and had ice cream with homemade hot fudge and whipped cream and cookies. Because you just need to end the day on a sweet note when very special, really pretty friends come to call.
