First Day of School

The shelves are loaded. Looook at all the booooks. We should be pretty smart once we read all those! :)
A treat for the class....a special breakfast ready and waiting. A loaf of Oma's famous pumpkin bread. The first loaf of the season, which is bound to last a single meal.

A little teacher treat too. Okay, not so little.

A school mascot in the corner, ready to snooze through yet another year of classes. This dog is too old for even old tricks. We'd all be lost without the constant, gentle snoring coming from the corner. It provides white noise to learn by.

I originally read about Dixon Ticonderoga pencils on a blog somewhere. These are the best pencils in the world. I used to think they were all the same, but that was until I tried a Dixon Ticonderoga. Here's a thought to ponder....if the #2 pencil is so great, why is it still #2??

And we're off. Like a heard of turtles struggling through peanut butter. School is now in session. Let the fun begin.
