The Boys In Hog Heaven

My Mom's birthday is this week, and in honor of her big day, her cousin Judy came to town to help us celebrate. (Mom, that is "big" as in "important", not "big" as in extremely high numbers.) Judy lives in Iowa, in the town where my Mom grew up, and the two of them had a really close relationship when they were young. Judy is funny. Really, really funny. In a side splitting, almost-wet-your-pants kind of way. I know it will be a fun week because no matter what, there will be laughter!





Judy brought several Iowa themed goodies to town. Everyone got their own special treat, and we have all been munching on roasted field corn and chocolate Mississippi River rock candies.

Today we went to the Harley Davidson dealership. Judy's son rides a Harley, so she wanted to do a little souvenir shopping. My boys were thrilled with that agenda. The dealership had clothes, housewares, jewelry....anything you could imagine, all emblazoned with a Harley logo. It was a blast, and the boys have now added a Road King to their Christmas list.
