Weekend Wrap Up

Sometimes I feel myself hurling toward the "old lady" category at warp speed. I strained some muscle in my back that caused me fits of discomfort for two days. I couldn't stand it any longer, so I let Buzzard rub cream on it to relieve the ache. Medicated, warming, peppermint scented muscle cream. Old lady cream. Well, there it is. I have entered a season of life when I officially care more about how my aches and pains than I do about how I smell. Stay tuned for Metamucil and sensible shoes.

The boys came flying through the door at top speed today, announcing they found a "lobster" by the creek behind our house. I grabbed my camera to dash down there with them, and was rather impressed by the size of the crawdad they managed to catch. He reared up and waved his little claws at us like a threat. Perhaps he didn't care for my Eau de Bengay. Then I told him I could put him in a pot, with a corn cob and a potato. He backed right down.
