The Tale of Two Teeth and Ten Inches

Hayden came in yesterday while I was getting ready for church and announced that his tooth fell out while he was eating a jelly bean. (Pardon me? Jelly beans? At breakfast??) Anyway, he was very excited. And on a sugar high. Since the tooth had become one with the bean, Hayden threw it in the trash, and was worried the lack of physical evidence under his pillow may deter the tooth fairy from a visit. After church we went out for lunch. Mid meal, Hayden lost another tooth! Last night before bed he penned this precious plea...

Dear Tooth Fairy,

I had three jelly beans. When I was chewing somehow my tooth came out. It isn't fake. It is true.

Luckily, she took him at his word.

Today, Hannah donated her hair to locks of love. She has been considering it for quite some time, but it was a big decision for her. I called a salon near us that has "hair designers" and made an appointment, then prayed that God would provide just the right person to work with her. Our stylist turned out to be a girl with pink and black hair, heavy tattoos, a dozen earrings, and a pierced chin. Luckily, she was also talented, patient, and reassuring. Hannah didn't want to do anything "risky" like bangs or layers, so "Pinky" listened carefully and cut it exactly the way Hannah requested. My shy girl does not enjoy being the center of attention, so she would not allow me to take my camera to the salon, but she did agree to pose for this beautiful "after" photo.
