I tackle most days with a packed agenda. I thrive on the feeling of accomlishment I get when I scratch meaningfully at my daily "to do" list. Too often, my agenda is too optimistic and I sometimes don't leave enough margin for down time. That's why today was a perfect day. We had time for reflection and relaxation. Time to enjoy one another and ignore the clock. The boys rode scooters outside for hours while my daughter and I played several rounds of our favorite card game. Tonight we colored eggs and cooked a big dinner. Good Friday reminds me of all the things in my life that I am grateful for. It humbles me to think about grace, forgiveness and sacrifice. I'm glad today offered spare moments to meditate on such blessings. Aaahhh, perspective. Such a wonderful thing.
