A Farewell to Two

Mother's Day Out had a Happy Birthday Jesus party on Thursday, and all the parents were invited. We got to watch the kids sing songs and so circle time together.

Emma had a perpetual Gene Simmons thing going on during her entire performance. And her hair wasn't far from and 80's band look either! :)

Hannah and her buddies showed up to see Emma's big stage debut!

We asked her if she knew what songs she would be singing at the party.

Uh-huh. Nope.

But she knew there were going to be cookies there! She's a fine one for pinpointing the important details in life. Her teacher said the kids talked of nothing but cookies the whole morning. She is apparently in a room full of kindred spirits.

When we got home we had a surprise waiting for us on the doorstop. Every year Oma Joan sends the kids a big box of Christmas candy. Today was box day! They go nuts when they see an Oma Joan box!

This ought to last a good while! :-)

And there was one more surprise too! A great big one that we get to open when we turn THREE!

We were very excited about the special day ahead, but for today, we had to savor the last precious moments of the terrific two's! :-)
