Hayden snapped this one of Emma and I on her very first merry-go-round ride, and I solemnly promised him his photo would make the blog. It's all about fame and fortune. Or just fame. Or just getting credit for photography skills on a blog.

We watched the balloon glow from across a pond, and I loved the reflections in the water. This is when I really wish I knew photoshop because with the right tweeking I'm sure some of these photos could really be grand.
This was my favorite balloon.
A wild band of cousins. One of these is the pie thief! 
Arm and face painting is such a country fair thing! This sweet lady had the booth next to Scooter's at the balloon festival and she offered to paint all the kids arms in exchange for a homemade supper.
Too cool.

Oh, Brooke, Betty told me about your mom. I'm so sorry, I hope she is feeling better or at least medicated. I had to giggle when you wrote about your need to talk a blue streak. I am the same way. Wish I was there to listen and keep you company. Please let your mom know that we are all praying for her and you as well.
