I mentioned that we had really bad storms here last week. Wednesday night the severe winds did lots of damage to our community, including blowing the roof off part of our church. The foyer and office areas sustained a lot of damage, but only a small part of the sanctuary was effected. Many trees were lost on the property, as well as some wooden playground equipment. This morning we held services at church, and despite the chaos, it was a great time of praise and fellowship. Our Pastor had prepared this morning's message two weeks ago, long before the weather turned ugly. The title of this morning's message? "Weathering the Storms of Life". Amazing. God is simply amazing.
These are just some of the trees and limbs that were lost. One of the trees that fell was hollow, and inside there was an enormous beehive.

After church we gathered with several homeschooling families to participate in Field Day. This was a good day to be just about anywhere but on a field. It was really cold and really windy, but that just encouraged everyone to run and play all the harder. There was an obstacle course, a softball toss, and a dash. The boys earned some ribbons, and by boys I do mean all the boys. My Man took first place in the Dad's Football Throw. He's all that. :)

Hi Dove!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! YOu have some great photos here yourself! Your children are adorable! I bet big sis is a wonderful help for you. :)
I cannot wait for this baby. :) We had 2 miscarriages between Josiah (3) and this one. I was beginning to wonder if we'd ever have another!
I always like reading about what others are using too. :)
That is pretty neat how your pastor planned that sermon before the store hit your church. We have a field day every year with our co-op and the children really enjoy it!
Love, Alyssa
