This adorable fella just loves to sun himself right outside our front door. He apparently hasn't caught onto the fact that there are two boys who live here who love to chase him, catch him, and hold him tiiiiiightly. He must be a glutton for punishment because he keeps showing up, and doesn't seem to panic when the boys come into view. His throat can become a magnificent blue color. Perhaps a sign that he is scared out of his mind?? I've been meaning to google that. A herpatologist I am not, but I surmise he is an anole lizard. He's just all kinds of fun.

Adorable creature. All kinds of fun? Sometimes I am absolutely, positively, without a doubt certain that I brought the wrong baby home from the hospital! The only thing worse than having one of these creatures outside your front door is having one COME IN your front door!

Wow! What cool creatures you have around your house. We live in the North East and are just excited to see the robins returning. We do have deer and other wild creatures around too but they tend to get scared off by the kid noises in the back yard.
We have one here without the tail...we have named him nubbins..he likes to hang out at the backdoor..what is it with lizards hanging out at the doors???
